Vintage Red Blue Gray

I started with the color idea from the PlayDateCafeChallenge-barn red, slate blue, and gray. Unfortunately the collection was closed this morning. I really need to pay closer attention to those deadlines, shesh. Their idea of slate was darker than mine. Then I went with Carly's sketch from SketchesByCarly. She is quite an artist, check out her site to see what you get, just for playing! Many of you already know her talented mom Kris Breach at Ink Something. So then I had to find a picture and luckily I had gone through some pictures in the morning. My darling brother must be about 4 in this photo, it's a school photo, badly faded. The shirt is red with white polka dots and the vest, (with matching pants I remember), is a light denim.
Used: All Stampin' Up except the blue sunflower which is a digi by Priscillastyles that I colored with Sharpie markers. Check out the Crafter's Digital Art Center to see more fantastic uses of Digital Images.

Huge Prize!

Priscilla has a huge prize for the 2 year anniversary at the MIDNIGHT MADNESS SKETCH CHALLENGE. If you haven't tried the challenge yet, you'll definitely want to jump over and see what the challenge is. There is a more 'fancy' sketch and the more 'CAS' sketch. I usually do 'in between'. Great starting point for a card when the mojo has gone missing. This is the badge link and it will be on my side bar as well.
Don't forget to check out her digi images at the Priscillastyles store and the fun community for digi lovers at Crafter's Digital Art Center!!! Good luck!

Ladybug Birthday

I got this adorable ladybug at Crafter's Digital Art Center from Priscilla,(priscillastyles store). It was in the freebies challenge last month. I used red, rose and a bit of blue/purple. It's pretty basic and was easy to whip up. Hope you enjoy it, thanks for visiting!

ATC Swap from Veronica

This cute little red kitten is the first in line of my ATC swaps. This swap was through Crafter's Digital Art Center. Veronica Noechel  is the artist, using a priscillastyles image. Here's what I love: The red cat, the shimmer ink (that you can only see irl), the dp, the crochet flower, the deep red gems.  It's even sweeter in real life! Thanks so much Veronica!

ATC

This is the Artist Trading Card that I made for the swap last month at Crafter's Digital Art Center.  I used an image from Priscilliastyles, 'Turtle', and colored it with SU markers . It is 3 layers of card stock, one is Cuttlebuged with Swiss Dots, and wrapped with 2 colors of organdy ribbon. I punched out a heart and added Stickles around the edge before popping it up.

Thank you for being the hostess Deb S.!

Over the next few weeks I'll be posting the ATC's that I received.

Sweet Puppy Love

I used a lot of  'stuff' on this one:
Image: Priscilla's freebie in the Group Heart Hop at Crafter's Digital Art Center. Find him HERE at Priscillastyles
Colors: Baja Breeze & Rose Red
Embellishments: Self adhesive pearls, rub on's, dimensionals, markers, dp, nesties

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #89 (MMSC89)

Thanks for visiting! I have some pics of my daughter, cat, and dog to post later.  A very cute photo session.

I want to show you my first version of  ATC's for the Crafter's Digital Art Center Swap. I used 'Heart Flourish Digital Stamp Set of 3' by Priscillastyles.
I used 2 colors of organdy ribbon, the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder, and a Sakura clear shimmer pen for my embellishments. I like how they came out but only made the two. I wanted something different, so those of you in the SWAP...this isn't the ATC you will be receiving. Thanks for stopping by today!!!

Dragonfly

Hi all! This card base is actually 'Pear Pizzazz' from Stampin' Up, (a pretty, light green). The color wouldn't come out right so this is it. The sketch is based on the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge.  The two dragonfly images on the left are from Priscillastyles and I colored them with SU Pastels. They are more vibrant in real life. {{{btw-won them at Crafter's Digital Art Center}}} The little one on the right is a shinny sticker. I outlined the 'you', 'me', and 'friends' with a black Sakura glaze pen so they would be more pronounced. Well, hope you like it, let me know what you think. Thanks a bunch!!!

Sweet Pumpkins

This is my little note card collection of happy pumpkins. The first is from a set by Priscillastyles called 'Pumpkin Digital Stamps', it's a 7 stamp set for $3.00. The second is 'Allie Pumpkin' by Pattie's Creations. The third is an image I received in a swap several years ago. I apologize, but I don't have the name of this adorable image or artist.

Vase of Flowers

This is a little note card that I made with a Priscillastyles vase digi from the set 'Steamer Trunk' I colored with Stampin' Up markers, and the 'Joy' sentiment is a rub on. Thanks for the visit!

Priscillastyles Rose

I tried something a little off the wall, today. I used the elegant image from the 'Victorian Rose Fan Set' by Priscillastyles, along with the color challenge over at the Play Date Cafe making this a BOLD card.

Now, the image is one that Priscilla is giving to her group members at Crafter's Digital Art Center. We are 300 strong!!! If you like it and are interested in digi stamps, head on over, join CDAC and then join Priscillastyles group. Very simple, but please follow Priscilla's request:
(We would love for you to join our group, so please only grab
the above freebie if you are a group member. "Honor system is in play" :)Now, color...
Time to shake things up a bit and
get really creative!  Are you ready?
It's the first...
'colour horribilis' challenge! Colors that we don't think will go together.
[[I agree with Sarah Anderson, and Penny Bearcroft, that you can combine any colors, just pay attention to tone, shade, and finish.]] Read their thought HERE
Sarah's combo challenge for the week:
navy blue, hot pink and mustard yellow

I added a lot of pearls and bent the leaves up for some elegance and definition. I also used a black glaze pen to outline various areas of the image.

Let me know what you think of my card today!

Brian's Birthday

Finally got the CDAC color challenge finished! This is my hubby's birthday card, for the end of the month. Done early, pretty good, right? The challenge is sponsored by Priscilla herself. The sunflower is a freebie for this challenge. Check out all of her digi's at her store, PricillaStyles. Great images at great prices!
Thanks for visiting, I love to hear what you think!

The Dress

Getting used to this new blogger editing. I like it, it's just new and different.  Anyway...
This is my card for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #63. The rich colors are from the Play Date Cafe' Challenge #39.  Julie is giving us destination challenges. Go on over and check it out!

I have added a pearl necklace and belt to my dress. I wanted sparkles, so I added rhinestones. I think next time I'll use stickles,  as I did on the white seen in the close up. The image is solid black & white, so it was perfect for this color challenge:

The image is Priscilla's digi, that you can find here at her store, Priscillastyles Store. OR Join Crafter's Digital Art Center, and get it as a freebie when you join her group! It's a ton of fun over there. I love to color, so digi images are perfect for me. I have found a lot of artists that I like. Plus it is so easy to order and immediate satisfaction, too!!!

Thanks for visiting!

Butterfly

Isn't this a beautiful butterfly? The body especially has such detail. This is a free digi from the "Dabbling with Digi's" line at Pricillastyles. You can pick it up at Crafters Digital Art Center, a community that Priscilla started. There are so many companies over there, and they are giving out free digi's for you to try. Yes, FREE! You know the saying, "if it's free, it's for me".That's what you will be seeing on my blog for a while!!! Thanks for stopping by,
