MMSC scrapbook sketch

This isn't my favorite photo, but it was taken at the same time as one from the 'Cutie' layout. It's another cute 'pose', looks like my girl is holding the umbrella. This is actually on the other side of the 'Cutie' page. I followed the sketch from the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge 110.  I was actually done with it last night; I know Tuesday, right? Heehe I only get challenges done that fast in the summer. Thanks for the visit!

Here's Little Frieda Again!

I made my 'Little Frieda's Daisy image into a panel. Not needing to make more cards, I thought I would make card fronts to possibly use in scrapbooks. I can always make them into cards if need be. We'll see how it goes, but you may see her yet again on a scrapbook page in the future!

Check out the Little Frieda and Friends line from The Craft's Meow.

You haven't seen a Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge from me in quite some time, but this is the current one, (you have until Monday to enter). I just haven't been doing many challenges, it felt to forced the last couple of months.

Thanks for visiting, please let me know what you think!

Huge Prize!

Priscilla has a huge prize for the 2 year anniversary at the MIDNIGHT MADNESS SKETCH CHALLENGE. If you haven't tried the challenge yet, you'll definitely want to jump over and see what the challenge is. There is a more 'fancy' sketch and the more 'CAS' sketch. I usually do 'in between'. Great starting point for a card when the mojo has gone missing. This is the badge link and it will be on my side bar as well.
Don't forget to check out her digi images at the Priscillastyles store and the fun community for digi lovers at Crafter's Digital Art Center!!! Good luck!

Confirmation

This is the inside of the card we are sending to our nephew for his confirmation on May 1st.  Here is the link to the picture of the outside. I made the cards last year for my dd's confirmation class and received the unused ones back. Made it easier to come up with a card for Austin, I guess that's why I made the inside so decorative. I used the sketch from the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. The embossed sentiment is from the 'Confirmation' set by Our Daily Bread Designs. The cross is a dimensional sticker from Kurio, the white opal gems are from Prima.

Challenges: MMSC-sketch, ODBDSLC-no coloring, Bearly-Mine Challenges-inside out, Pile It On-use rubber.

I know I've seen this on many of your blogs already, but now I know the secret! This is where you go to 'Pile It On'! Where you find so many different challenges.  See the ice cream cone blinkie on my sidebar----------------->

Happy Monday!

It's another Monday, and time for the Happy Monday Challenge by Deedee's Digis.  Let's use pastels!!! Here is my 'Pretty Pastels'  easel card for this week:

I've used  'Become New', one of the new March release sets from Deedee's Digis. Isn't she pretty? A brand new lamb! I used Stampin' Up watercolor crayons and an aqua paintbrush to color her. This is a close up of the verse/sentiment:

You'll want to hop on over the the Happy Monday Challenge blog site to read what Kathy and Lucky have to say about the challenge. You really must go and see Deedee's New Release Digis in the shop.  I am also entering this in the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge, where you can make it clean & simple or all out bling!!! I'm usually somewhere in-between, lol.  That's about it for me, thanks for stopping by.

Seize the Daisy!

I just had to post one more card for the Happy Monday Challenge, Fellowship, 'Share a Smile'. Isn't this the best little goat?!? Seize the Daisy, is the name of the image which can be found at Deedee's Digis. I will be entering the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. I colored with Koh-i-noor pure color pencils and OMS. Please check out my first post for today which gives all the information on the HMC.

Skating Penguin

I love this penguin, thanks Faith! Check out the Delightful Inspirations Blog and find out how to play the progressive challenge and receive free digi's!!! There is big news at the blog today, so check it out. Shop here at Designed 2 Delight for this and other adorable digi images.

I always play along with Double Delight when I create with a D2D free digi. It is a great jumping off point to get me started. Check out the way this challenges works with the D2D challenge, HERE. This week the challenge is to use SNOWFLAKES on your card.

Here is a close up of the raised image, (I used dimensional dots). I 'toned down' the center of the snowflakes, (gem flowers), with craft ink.

The sketch is based on the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. You have a choice of 'fancy', 'plain & simple', or in between!!!

Thanks for visiting, I love to hear from you. Now go check out these challenges and have some fun!!!!

Dragonfly

Hi all! This card base is actually 'Pear Pizzazz' from Stampin' Up, (a pretty, light green). The color wouldn't come out right so this is it. The sketch is based on the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge.  The two dragonfly images on the left are from Priscillastyles and I colored them with SU Pastels. They are more vibrant in real life. {{{btw-won them at Crafter's Digital Art Center}}} The little one on the right is a shinny sticker. I outlined the 'you', 'me', and 'friends' with a black Sakura glaze pen so they would be more pronounced. Well, hope you like it, let me know what you think. Thanks a bunch!!!

Harvest Basket

This is my CAS card using the 'Harvest Basket' image from Faith at Designed2Delight. You can color it so many ways, just check out the other entries at the D2D and DD blogs. The CAS is a challenge at the Double Delight Challenge Blog by Kathy and Kris. The sketch is from the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. The color choice is mine. I'm not really sure why I went with bashful blue and certainly celery, but I did. The dp is bash.blue with tiny white dots, so there is not a lot of contrast. I was trying to keep it CAS but add interest. Well, it is what it is.
Thanks for the visit! I really appreciate your critique of my work.

Breast Cancer Awareness Bear

This is my card using the Breast Cancer Bear from McMahon Five Designs. The sketch is this weeks Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. The colors I started with were 'kraft, black, and one other color', from the Our Daily Bread Challenges, but I didn't end up using an ODBD image, plus I ended up using pink and white. My pearl embellis are also from McMahon Five Designs. Thanks for visiting!

See the cute reminder blinkie on my left sidebar? My friend Kristine made this for M5D, to go with the bear!

Green & Blue Willow Whimsy

This gorgeous bouquet is from the 'Willow Whimsy' digi set by Designed 2 Delight. You can play this progressive challenge at Delightful Inspirations. My color choice is from the Double Delight Challenge blog. My card stock is SU retired colors, Glorious Green and Ballet Blue. The dp is Bashful Blue. I used water color pencils to color. This awesome sketch is from the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge blog. That should do it for me, thanks for stopping by!

Girlie Bling!

I'm not sure what I think about this card....The image is from Michelle Perkett Studio, used for the Michelle Perket Studio Challenge, 'Girlie with bling'. I colored her with regular markers and added a bunch of bling, rhinestones. The color combo is hot pink, turquoise, rusty orange and dark chocolate, based on this picture:

Here is a link to the Play Date Cafe' Challenge. The team over there always has exciting color combos, never dull!!!  I used the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge for my card sketch. It's not exact, but pretty close, I think it qualifies. *smile*

Fishy...

This is a birthday card, made for the
-Delightful Inspiration Challenge, to use this sweet monkey image.
-Double Delight Challenge, to use ribbon, string, twine, (I used red ribbon loops on the bottom right and purple twine on her tail and line).
-Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge

I had to turn the sketch and didn't add anything by the tabs. I figured the bow on her tail was enough.

Shop at  Designed 2 Delight to find this little monkey and many other images!

Thanks for the great image, challenge, and sketch!

This is a 3 challenge card:

1. Mary Margaret-Teachers Pet is from Michelle Perkett Studio, for her 'anything goes' challenge. Isn't she adorable??

2. The sketch is from the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge, this week. I'm in between the 2 sketches as usual.

3. At the Play Date Cafe' Challenge, Julie chose this palette:
Isn't this a yummy photo?

It's Happy Hour at Midnight Madness!

I just had to play along with Min, at Shelly's Images. It was Marvelous Monday with a Happy Hour Twist. I was so inspired by the DT's cards, that I purchased this drink digi and away I went. I followed the MMSC#66, but could not get the triangles to work, so I went with ovals. I added clear lacquer over the glass and pink Stickles to the flower. The squiggles are sparkled, too. Hope you like it! Thanks for stopping!

Happy Birthday Dino

The 'OtherThemesChallenge', at Crafter's Digital Art Center, is hosted by Stamping Dragon Designs. It's a 1-2-3! They offered Dino for all to use. I think he is adorable!

One border-my scallops
Two designer papers-punched out circles
Three different embellishments-button, brads, circle punch

I was very creative with my dp, I punched out circles. Is a punched circle an embelli? Creative or cheating? Humm, very creative. The sketch is the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge.

Thanks for the visit!

Duckie

Hi, this is my happy little duckie, with a get well wish! The *Wink *Wink Ink challenge this month was to make your own embellishment.  You can find the challenge here, at  Crafter's Digital Art Center.  My hand made embelli is the flower; stamped, punched with a scallop, and a giant eyelet in the middle. I also popped up the embelli, duck panel, and sentiment. This sketch is another for MMSC64, just having so much fun with it!!!  I used the Color Throwdown challenge, Ridinghood Red, River Rock, and Certainly Celery. I didn't think I would like it, but it turned out I do!

This is also for The Shabby Tea Room #20-use 1 ribbon, 2 buttons, and 3 punches/die-cuts. I used a corner punch, word window, and tag punch. The sketch is from Priscilla's Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #64.

The Dress

Getting used to this new blogger editing. I like it, it's just new and different.  Anyway...
This is my card for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #63. The rich colors are from the Play Date Cafe' Challenge #39.  Julie is giving us destination challenges. Go on over and check it out!

I have added a pearl necklace and belt to my dress. I wanted sparkles, so I added rhinestones. I think next time I'll use stickles,  as I did on the white seen in the close up. The image is solid black & white, so it was perfect for this color challenge:

The image is Priscilla's digi, that you can find here at her store, Priscillastyles Store. OR Join Crafter's Digital Art Center, and get it as a freebie when you join her group! It's a ton of fun over there. I love to color, so digi images are perfect for me. I have found a lot of artists that I like. Plus it is so easy to order and immediate satisfaction, too!!!

Thanks for visiting!
