A quickie!

This is a quick card I made over spring break. I was at my dad's and didn't have many supplies. This butterfly is from Layers of Color called 'Embroidered Butterfly'. It is red rubber cling stamp. I highlighted the stitching with a black Sakura Glaze pen  The sentiment is from SRM Stickers.

Thanks for stopping by!

Pocket Heart 'boy' Valentine

This Valentine is probably for my husband. I have another idea in mind for him, we'll see if I get to it. I learned how to make the heart pocket HERE at CDAC-it's a free class! The sketch is from Sketches by Carly. It's been so long since I played her challenge, or any challenge for that matter. Anyway.....I've tucked a little book mark inside of the heart pocket. The only stamping I did was to make the 3 flowers, using my 'Flowering Gems' set from Layers of Color.

New Year's Eve Angel

Hi Everyone! This 'New Year's Eve Angel', is made following the Free Paper Angel Class at Crafter's Digital Art Center given by Carol Hurlock, visit her at, Chocolate, Crafts, and Bears, Oh My. I finished just in time, the class ends December 31!

I decided on using stamped wings, from the Layers of Color Art Stamps set, 'Regal Wings'. There are so many ways to make the angels, go check them out at CDAC, just scroll down to the slide show. Become a member if you aren't already, quick and easy.

Thanks so much Carol, your video was super fun and easy to follow!

Pink Ribbon/Pink Rose

This is my first card using the NEW Cottage Rose Cling Stamp from Layers of Color Art Stamps. I won this while blog hopping during the new release of Red Rubber at LOC. Check out the other amazing stamps that were released. This is such a gorgeous image, don't you agree??? I colored with regular Stampin' Write markers.

I'm entering this into the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge by using the pink ribbon. I also used pink, self-adhesive pearls from McMahon Five Designs. Check them out too, fabulous prices.

This card is going to my boss/principal who is a breast cancer survivor.

Fab Friend

I have sooo many cards, but I love to do challenges, so what's a girl to do? I altered a little book today. I have to come up with new things to do with these challenges or start sending my cards out more often, lol.
Anyhoo, this is an embllie challenge at, you guessed it, CDAC!!! Deedee, (Deedee's Digi's), is the hostess and she provided this gorgeous flamingo digi. Thanks so much Deedee! Her challenge is to use bling. I also used LOC, "Flowering Gems" leaves for the BG.

MMSC#59 and CDAC Challenges

I have two cards today. They are both for the MMSC59 challenge and the fdkoc challenge at the new "Crafters Digital Art Center" community.

For this first card I used a free digi from Layers of Color. This is not from CDAC, but you can use any digi for the challenge. I started with the turned MMSC59 sketch and the LOC art stencil called Victorian Art Stencil. I used Brocade Blue craft ink on Bashful Blue card stock. Rather than using the oval, I used the bird image, (freebie from LOC). I also used Flowering Gems clear art stamps from LOC. I colored with markers and added pearls, rhinestones, and stickles for glitter and shine.

The second card is the MMSC59 sketch in the original position, with the oval. The stamped image on the left side is the LOC art stamp set "Garden Borders". The "Praying Angel" image is a freebie from McMahon Five Designs, that I picked up at CDAC. She is colored with pencils and goo gone, but it smeared a bit with my printer ink. I used a Sakura clear jelly roll pen on her wings and in her hair for sparkle. The words are rub-on's.

Thanks so much for viewing my work and for your comments!

12 x 12 Page

I got another page done by following the The Color Room Palette #11. I find so much inspiration here! I know my pages will get better and faster the more I create. I just piled on the flowers; paper ones, felt, and punched. The sparkle comes from Stickles. Can you see my Layers of Color Art Stamps? The leaves around the white flower and the four, hand colored flowers in the middle. They are from the set, "Flowering Gems". And...the 2 big white flowers came in the mail yesterday, along with a belated birthday card. All from my dear friend Sabrina, isn't she the sweetest??? They're hand made the flowers, too, btw. Thanks Sabrina!

My New Layers of Color!

I had no idea where I was going with this. I just wanted to use my new "Regal Wings" set. I received my first Layers of Color Art Stamps, order last week. I stamped and cut out each image, but still no Mojo. Today I finally had a chance to just sit down and force myself to create. The crown and wings are from the "Regal Wings" set from LOC. Fabulous, don't you think?? The sentiment is from the "Grow in Grace" set by Our Daily Bread Designs.
