Friend Valentine

It's that time again for the "Free Digital  Stamp of the Month Challenge" at Delightful Inspirations. The freebie is the heart image. I used The Best Things in Life set from Gina K Designs for the words. The inside says 'Priceless'.  I used the Play Date Cafe color challenge, as seen in this gorgeous photo:

Thanks for stopping by! I've been a little busy getting ready for my upcoming surprise...

Kind Little Blue Bird

I'm back!!!! Trying to get back into the swing of blogging. I lost my mojo somewhere between my home and my dad's when we visited up North for Christmas.
Then I received a NOOKColor for Christmas, so I have been doing a lot of reading!
Thanks for keeping with me and to those of you who checked on me via my e-mail and in my last posts' comments. You gals are the best, and I missed you!

I came up with this little card on Monday night. The image is from Faith, owner of Designed2Delight

I see in this closer view, my coloring is very uneven. Oh well, I wanted to make and post it, so I guess I was in a hurry. Thanks for stopping by!

Pretty in pink and red

This is a deco or tag that I made before Christmas, and then gave away. I am home and have some time to post it now. It is colored in rose red and handsome hunter using watercolor wonder crayons from SU. The image is from Designed 2 Delight. The die cut for the ornament is from Our Daily Bread Designs. I had a blast with this image and with this ornament die cut. I gave several away at Christmas but have a few left to photograph and upload. Thanks for visiting! I'm planing to get back to crafting and challenges with the new year.

Cup of Cocoa (or coffee)

Hey friends! I finished something crafty that I am actually okay with. I didn't like anything I made this week, it all went into the trash can. Everything I touched seemed to fall apart or smear or something unpleasant happened to it. This is my second 2-5-7-10 box, I left the flap off, don't ask....It's a simple gift box made with the Designed2Delight 'Christmas Cocoa' image. Here is a close up of the candy cane, so you can see a bit of the sparkle of the stickles I used in X-mas red and star dust.
Thanks for the visit! I would love to hear what you think!

Skating Penguin

I love this penguin, thanks Faith! Check out the Delightful Inspirations Blog and find out how to play the progressive challenge and receive free digi's!!! There is big news at the blog today, so check it out. Shop here at Designed 2 Delight for this and other adorable digi images.

I always play along with Double Delight when I create with a D2D free digi. It is a great jumping off point to get me started. Check out the way this challenges works with the D2D challenge, HERE. This week the challenge is to use SNOWFLAKES on your card.

Here is a close up of the raised image, (I used dimensional dots). I 'toned down' the center of the snowflakes, (gem flowers), with craft ink.

The sketch is based on the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. You have a choice of 'fancy', 'plain & simple', or in between!!!

Thanks for visiting, I love to hear from you. Now go check out these challenges and have some fun!!!!

Kaela Angel

Hi, this is 'Kaela Angel' by Faith at Designed 2 Delight, isn't she cute? I normally don't like the 'no mouth' style, but Faith said it was okay with her to add a mouth, and after viewing a few, I did. I think she came out great! Check out Delightful Inspiration to find out how you can get free digi's from D2D.  For the Double Delight challenge, Kristine came up with....***SPARKLE*** I had a hectic week, and didn't get my card loaded and posted until the last minute. You do have a few hours to get it in before the deadline tonight. Grab Kaela from the D2D store and you'll get next weeks image for free if you get her posted on time. Go for the sparkle and you could win a free digi from D2D if your name is drawn from the entries at Double Delight. Have fun with it! I'm off to parent teacher conferences........

Harvest Basket

This is my CAS card using the 'Harvest Basket' image from Faith at Designed2Delight. You can color it so many ways, just check out the other entries at the D2D and DD blogs. The CAS is a challenge at the Double Delight Challenge Blog by Kathy and Kris. The sketch is from the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. The color choice is mine. I'm not really sure why I went with bashful blue and certainly celery, but I did. The dp is bash.blue with tiny white dots, so there is not a lot of contrast. I was trying to keep it CAS but add interest. Well, it is what it is.
Thanks for the visit! I really appreciate your critique of my work.

My color choice is from the Double Delight Challenge blog. My card stock is SU retired colors, Glorious Green and Ballet Blue. The dp is Bashful Blue. I used water color pencils to color. Pure and Simple

This pure and simple ATC card is made with the D2D Free Stamp of the Month for October. The apples were saturated with ruby red and bravo burgundy SU markers. I like how this simple card or tag came out. Not even hating my printing on it. : ) I'll be entering it in to the Delightful Inspiration blog for the D2D Progressive Challenge.

MC Stocking

I used this 'Stocking' image from D2D for this little card. It is ATC sized, I am starting to make these just because I think they are cute, and I have a lot of cards on hand already. I may use this as a package tag for a gift, who knows?  I am entering this at the Delightful Inspiration blog for D2D's progressive challenge and the Double Delight Challenge. The Double Delight challenge this week is to use border punches. I used my eyelet border, by Stampin' Up. I colored the stocking with Ballet Blue and Cameo Coral markers. The 'MC' are rub-on's from SU. Thanks for visiting!

eta-I took this off of the D2D Progressive challenge post. You need to use the Free Stamp of the Month for that, which I did with my Apple ATC/tag.

HEART TO HEART CARD DRIVE

You'll want to jump on over and check out Caroline King's post on My Blog, for a fabulous cause and a fantastic prize!!! You may also know her as Cammie. I first discovered Cammie's talent at the Splitcoaststampers community site. She is a designer for Gina K Designs, so I got to know more about her while visiting StampTV.  Please read this post about her Mamo to find out  how you can make a caregiver of an Alzheimer Disease patient feel appreciated. My own grandma had Alzheimer's and passed away several years ago. I'll be sending a card or more to the center where she was so lovingly cared for in Dearborn, Michigan. If you don't have any place that you want to send a card, that's okay, Cammie has an address for you.

The sentiment is from Designed2Delight, a set called Peace & Comfort. Faith drew this set for sympathy cards, but I thought the sentiment was perfect for my card. I didn't use any of the lovely flowers or cross that came with the set, just wanted to keep it simple. Both sentiment panels are sponged, so I'm also entering this in the Double Delight and Delightful Inspirations challenges. This is also the free stamp of the month for D2D's progressive challenge.
Thanks for visiting, and I hope you participate in this worthy cause, & you could win an amazing prize package!!!!

Scardy Cat! Creepy Spider!

A scardy cat, a creepy spider and a happy pumpkin. What's up with that?! This is an image from Faith at Designed2Delight. On the challenge blog, Delightful Inspiration, she explains the progressive challenge. At the Double Delight Blog, the challenge is to make a card for Operation Write Home. The dead line is past for Halloween Cards, so this one didn't make it. I'll post my OWH cards later, when I finish more of them. Thanks for the visit!

Autumn is in the Air!

I wanted to get my Designed 2 Delight, free digital stamp of the month colored up and made into a card before the deadline. I've only missed one freebie since I started but, I purchased the next stamp of  week. Very reasonable and very fast, but who doesn't like free, right? The challenge at Double Delight, is 'Autumn is in the Air', use the D2D 'Oak Wreath' digi and use fall colors.

Summer Bright

Evening, everyone!  I really wanted to use this image, I've had it printed for weeks. I was planning to do the Double Delight Challenge to use 'summer colors', and one of the images from Designed2Delight.
Did that and did that.
Except I was supposed to use the kitty image! Well, I made a cheery card anyway, I think this is the one I will send to Faith's dad. :-)
My sketch is based on this one from Sketches By Carly

Fishy...

This is a birthday card, made for the
-Delightful Inspiration Challenge, to use this sweet monkey image.
-Double Delight Challenge, to use ribbon, string, twine, (I used red ribbon loops on the bottom right and purple twine on her tail and line).
-Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge

I had to turn the sketch and didn't add anything by the tabs. I figured the bow on her tail was enough.

Shop at  Designed 2 Delight to find this little monkey and many other images!

Thanks for the great image, challenge, and sketch!
