My Late Happy Monday

I haven't had a chance to sit down and do any blogging since Saturday! I do have this card up at the Happy Monday Challenge by Deedee's Digis. Check out the other awesome cards this week by my DT sisters. This is the theme:
Your challenge this time is to make a card or other handmade project to appreciate or just give a little extra attention to a senior citizen

I made this bright blue card with my father in mind. The way I am understanding the message is this...my dad lifts me up. As a widower now I also will lift him up with this card just to brighten his day! Go over and check out the images at Deedee's Digis.

Beautiful Easter

 

Here's the card I made for the Happy Monday Challenge with my limited supplies. I've used 'Eggstra Pretty' by Deedee's Digis, (psst, it's only $1!). I used Gina K's Pure Luxury Wild Lilac and Vibrant Violet card stock. The yellow cs is from Stampin' Up as are the markers I used to color with. The pretty orange pearls are by e. Prima that I purchased from McMahon5 Designs. 

The challenge this week at the Happy Monday Challenge by Deedee's Digis is EASTER. Most of us need Easter cards right about now. Check out the store for a great selection of Easter images.

Birthday Moo

Being away from my studio for a week has been hard. I brought a few of my supplies and images so I was able to come up with 2 cards. The one below and my Happy Monday Challenge, (you'll have to wait to see that one).

I'm not sure who this will go to but the cow is so darn cute! I used  the new set Udderly Moo-velous, by Deedee's Digis. Go over to the store and check out the wonderful samples by my DT sisters! I colored with water color pencils, goo gone, and markers on this one. The black card stock calls for lots of gem bling. Thanks for visiting and making my day!!!

Happy Monday Challenge card-Shirley

Happy Monday Everyone!
Today I used a brand new, just released April 1, image called 'Swinging By' from Deedee's Digis. I was so excited when Dee released her to the team. I knew then I wanted to color her the color of a red hog. She reminds me of my first 4H market hog, Shirley. I colored this sweet piggy with Water Color Wonder Crayons from SU, in Bravo Burgundy.

This week we want you to create something combining some classic patterns:  polka dots, checks, and stripes! You can use any combination of these on your project this week. Spring Blessings Bear

Spring Blessings! I saw my first robin today, spring is here, yipee! I got the idea for this paper piecing card from the oh so talented Kristine Breach, see her card HERE. Of course I made it to enter into the Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge. The Stamp set is 'Spring Blessings' from Deedee's Digis you must really see the rest of the set.


The challenge this week is from Lisa H.... A different kind of peace... piece... as in paper piecing. Use paper piecing in the main image of your card/project. You will want to check out Lisa's scripture choice and devotional at the SSIC challenge blog. Here is the link to her blog with the card she made for the challenge, which inspired me as well. Lisa is also the owner of the brand new, "Craft's Meow" online store. check out the cute badge on my sidebar. I haven't ordered her yet, but isn't Little Frieda adorable? Go and check out the crafting kits Lisa has.


My card seems a bit smaller than usual, but I'm so excited that my watermark is showing. I was missing a couple of steps in paint.net to make it work. I have my wonderful DT sister, Jeanette, to thank for helping me out step by step. Thanks again!

Happy Monday-Fellowship

Kids Need Love, Too! (make and send some happy mail to a child)

That's our theme this week, and Deedee's Digis has some super cute sets for children. I've used Dino-Mite, a set just released March 1. Make sure to check out the other designers cards at the Happy Monday Challenge Blog.

It's another purple based card! I was to late to enter the contest for Colour Queen, at the ColourQ blog, but I was so inspired by this photo that I had to use the combo anyway!

The Bashful Blue is sponged on the sentiment panel and scalloped edge. The Psalm is a digi called 'Spring Blessings' from Deedee's Digis. I used a cuttlebug folder for the Bermuda Bay panel. I based my card on the sketch challenge at Heart Song Designs.

Friends & Flowers

I made this just for fun! The flowers and sentiment are from the Friends Are Flowers digi set by Deedee's Digis.  It is a great deal at only $1, find it under 'Friendship" or 'Dollar Digis' in the store. I colored it with SU markers. The card stock colors are Lovely Lilac, Old Olive, and Yoyo Yellow. The dies are from Spellbinders and the embossing folder is Cuttlebug.  Thanks for stopping in, I love to have you visit!

Hello all! Today's Happy Monday Challenge is a sketch. I turned mine on it's side so that I could use this adorable ducky image. This is a new image from Deedee's Digis called, Flowers For Thought. I just love this sentiment don't you?!?

What I did:
Split Coast Stampers has the tutorial with a video that I followed for the Drawer Box. My uber talented friend, Kristine Breach has a tutorial for a 4 Drawer Easel Card, which is has been in the back of my mind for a loooog time.  I Finally did it Kris!!! Between the 2 tutorials this is what I came up with.

The colors are Certainly Celery and Lovely Lilac. I decided to do something a little different, so I found this fancy fold, Spring Card tutorial at Split Coast Stampers.

And of Course I colored 2 images so here is the second one made into a little gift card in Pacific Blue and Pretty in Pink.

Happy Saint Pat's!

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! I made up these book marks, with scraps and Deedee's Digis, Irish Blessing and Lucky Teddy. Each set comes with several sentiments. I used giant paperclips and sticky strip to attach. The backs are also covered for a clean look.  See you tomorrow for our big hop, don't miss it!

Wildflower Wall Hanging

I tired something a little different today. Stampin' Sisters in Christ asked us to use something we treasured, and..... The very lovely Linda Lucas is our challenge hostess this week. 

Scripture: Matthew 6:21 "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."

You will want to pop over to the SSIC challenge blog and read what Linda writes. She always touches my heart and soul. I know you will enjoy her words, you'll smile, you'll 'think', you'll feel.

Okay on to my card, umm, project....

I would say that I treasure this image that I colored a while back. I've tried to use it several times, but just kept hanging on to it. The yarn has also been in my stash for years! The image and sentiment are from Deedee's Digis and colored with Koh-i-noor pure color pencils. I'm not sure who I will give it to, but for now it's on my wall in my studio. Hee, hee.

It's another Monday, and time for the Happy Monday Challenge by Deedee's Digis.  Let's use pastels!!! Here is my 'Pretty Pastels'  easel card for this week:

I've used  'Become New', one of the new March release sets from Deedee's Digis. Isn't she pretty? A brand new lamb! I used Stampin' Up watercolor crayons and an aqua paintbrush to color her. This is a close up of the verse/sentiment:

I just had to post one more card for the Happy Monday Challenge, Fellowship, 'Share a Smile'. Isn't this the best little goat?!? Fellowship Monday

Feeling funny? Well Deedee's Digis Happy Monday Challenge has a super challenge for you today!  It's Fellowship Monday of the Month, so lets all share a smile!!!
 
Make a funny card that you want to send to someone to lift up their spirits after this long and cold winter. I've used Ladybug Hugs from Deedee's store, Deedee's Digis. If you haven't checked out the new store, you really must, it's fabulous! When I first came upon this digi of Deedee's, all I could think of was Jerry Lewis yelling 'heeeeey, laaaa-dy'! I don't know if it was from a movie or what, but it stuck in my head. This week I finally had a reason to use it. It's funny to me, and bright and cheerful for everyone else. Fluttering By-second card today

I made this yesterday for the Stamping Sisters in Christ challenge to Use the Color Green. You can find this beautiful digi image at Deedee's Digis, it's called Fluttering By. You can even 'Try Before You Buy', here, you just won't receive the sentiments with it. Speaking of sentiments....I cut the one I had printed, (see extra butterfly). We paper crafters, however, never make mistakes, just the opportunity for more embellishing, lol. I used SU markers for coloring, the bow easy for ribbon, a rub on for my emergency 'bloom', cuttlebug folder, and lacey circles Nestabilities by Spellbinders.

I've been home for 5 days, long Pres day weekend, and a snow day today. Tomorrow I'll be back with less and shorter comments on your blogs and fewer new cards.Thanks for stopping by!

It's Happy Monday Challenge Time!

Sing Praises

This is my first card for the Happy Monday Challenge by Deedee's Digi's. Hop on over and check out what my dt sisters came up with for the 'All Buttoned Up' challenge for today. My image is the wolf from the Sing Praises set, as is the sentiment, (one of the three included). I colored with pencils and OMS then heat embossed the whole panel with clear embossing powder.
