I started with the color idea from the PlayDateCafeChallenge-barn red, slate blue, and gray. Unfortunately the collection was closed this morning. I really need to pay closer attention to those deadlines, shesh. Their idea of slate was darker than mine. Then I went with Carly's sketch from SketchesByCarly. She is quite an artist, check out her site to see what you get, just for playing! Many of you already know her talented mom Kris Breach at Ink Something. So then I had to find a picture and luckily I had gone through some pictures in the morning. My darling brother must be about 4 in this photo, it's a school photo, badly faded. The shirt is red with white polka dots and the vest, (with matching pants I remember), is a light denim.
Used: All Stampin' Up except the blue sunflower which is a digi by Priscillastyles that I colored with Sharpie markers. Check out the Crafter's Digital Art Center to see more fantastic uses of Digital Images.
Trying to keep up with the big things, the little things, and having lots of fun along the way!

2 More Swap ATC's From Friends
Time for 2 more CDAC swap ATC's....The first one is from Starla Black and here's what I love:
One thing that you can't see well is how cool the paper that the wreath is printed on. I'm not sure what she did but it is shimmery. The coloring is gorgeous, and how about that faux stitching? The 'button' is a puffy sticker. Great job, thanks Starla! Here is her CDAC page.
The second ATC is from Cheryl Barclay and here is what I love about her's:
It is so natural, I love the look! The The main panel is ink distressed and aged looking, as is the heart. I think the linen thread for the bow is a perfect addition, and the cute 'my friend' sentiment with the little gem! The hearts are dimentional, and pop right out from the wreath and leaves. Thank you so much Cheryl! I don't know if she has a blog but here she is at CDAC.

ATC Swap from Veronica
This cute little red kitten is the first in line of my ATC swaps. This swap was through Crafter's Digital Art Center. Veronica Noechel is the artist, using a priscillastyles image. Here's what I love: The red cat, the shimmer ink (that you can only see irl), the dp, the crochet flower, the deep red gems. It's even sweeter in real life! Thanks so much Veronica!

ATC
This is the Artist Trading Card that I made for the swap last month at Crafter's Digital Art Center. I used an image from Priscilliastyles, 'Turtle', and colored it with SU markers . It is 3 layers of card stock, one is Cuttlebuged with Swiss Dots, and wrapped with 2 colors of organdy ribbon. I punched out a heart and added Stickles around the edge before popping it up.
Thank you for being the hostess Deb S.!
Over the next few weeks I'll be posting the ATC's that I received.

CDAC Sketch Challenge Sponsored by Deedee's Digi's
This image is 'Irish Blessings' that Deedee is providing for the Crafter's Digital Art Center's sketch challenge, cdacsc17 HERE. I colored with SU markers, cuttlebuged the pink panel, and used sparkling gold/green paper behind the main image. I was in a button mood following the Happy Monday Challenge, so added three of those too! Thanks for visiting!

It was a bit sunny today, so I felt like finishing up this sweet & sunny card. The adorable 'Hello Sunshine!' image is from Deedee's Digis, but you can't find it in the store right now. You have to go HERE to Deedee's Digis group at Crafter's Digital Art Center. Lot's of fun crafting and chatting over there! Thanks for visiting today.

Lotta Love
Yes, a lot of love went into this little 3x3 card! First off I printed my 'Stitched with Love' image way to small for what I had in mind. Then I decided to fussy cut around all of those little scallops, which wasn't really that hard now that I know how to fussy cut more efficiently. Then I just went with it and came up with this color combo of red, pink and pale plum. Turns out I really like it, and the card came together very easily. The Stitched with Love heart image is from Heart Song Designs, who just opened a web store! I discovered Leah's designs at my favorite digi community, CDAC. Check out both links, you'll be glad you did.

The Key
My latest Shelly's Images creation. I used the heart pocket idea that I learned at the CDAC Free Classes.
I received this image set from Shelly during the CDAC Group Heart Hop. Thanks, I love it! I used some dp for the heart and layers behind the sentiment and key panel. I used Metallic Rub-Ons, which is like a paste. I applied it with manicure q-tips. It's shinny and shimmers in real life. The card is for the Shelly's Image Blog, Terrifically Thrilling Thursday challenge. It's TIC TAC TOE time again! Well, I'm late, it's due tonight. :( I chose to use 'red, flowers, and buttons'. Below you can see a the key close up and removed from the pocket. I think you can see the clear button better.

Pocket Heart 'boy' Valentine
This Valentine is probably for my husband. I have another idea in mind for him, we'll see if I get to it. I learned how to make the heart pocket HERE at CDAC-it's a free class! The sketch is from Sketches by Carly. It's been so long since I played her challenge, or any challenge for that matter. Anyway.....I've tucked a little book mark inside of the heart pocket. The only stamping I did was to make the 3 flowers, using my 'Flowering Gems' set from Layers of Color.

I want to show you my first version of ATC's for the Crafter's Digital Art Center Swap. I used 'Heart Flourish Digital Stamp Set of 3' by Priscillastyles.
I used 2 colors of organdy ribbon, the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder, and a Sakura clear shimmer pen for my embellishments. I like how they came out but only made the two. I wanted something different, so those of you in the SWAP...this isn't the ATC you will be receiving. Thanks for stopping by today!!!

New Year's Eve Angel
Hi Everyone! This 'New Year's Eve Angel', is made following the Free Paper Angel Class at Crafter's Digital Art Center given by Carol Hurlock, visit her at, Chocolate, Crafts, and Bears, Oh My. I finished just in time, the class ends December 31!
I decided on using stamped wings, from the Layers of Color Art Stamps set, 'Regal Wings'. There are so many ways to make the angels, go check them out at CDAC, just scroll down to the slide show. Become a member if you aren't already, quick and easy.
Thanks so much Carol, your video was super fun and easy to follow!

Dragonfly
Hi all! This card base is actually 'Pear Pizzazz' from Stampin' Up, (a pretty, light green). The color wouldn't come out right so this is it. The sketch is based on the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. The two dragonfly images on the left are from Priscillastyles and I colored them with SU Pastels. They are more vibrant in real life. {{{btw-won them at Crafter's Digital Art Center}}} The little one on the right is a shinny sticker. I outlined the 'you', 'me', and 'friends' with a black Sakura glaze pen so they would be more pronounced. Well, hope you like it, let me know what you think. Thanks a bunch!!!

The second is 'Allie Pumpkin' by Pattie's Creations. The third is an image I received in a swap several years ago. I apologize, but I don't have the name of this adorable image or artist.
