Thanks to Erika's challenges at StampTV, I'm caught up w/ my dd's school photos. I just love Melanie's Little Tee's stamp set for my daughter's pages and cards, so I've used the tee's and words here. The words/phrases used are: Let's hang out!, SPORTS, go, girl, and SUPER. I wanted to coordinate the colors in the photo with the elements on the page as well. I embossed the "8th" with silver, and used silver ink for the "Grade"; along with the Star Brad, they harmonize with her peace and love necklace. I started with the idea of "superstar", as this was the last year of Middle School, being the big shoots on campus. I lost my printer and have a laser now, which has no color. I just adore Gina K's freebie digital downloads, but was only able to print the Stars & Stripes Neutral, (a nice shade of gray). It turned out perfect for my dp. Another fun, easy to follow sketch!
What I used:
Card Stock-Brocade Blue, So Saffron (SU)
DP-Stars & Stripes Neutral freebie from Gina K's StampTV (link above)
Ink-Basic Gray, VersaMark Watermark Stamp Pad, Silver Encore Ultimate Metallic (all from SU)
Stamp Sets-Little Tee's (Gina K Designs), various retired letter and number SU stamps
Other-Star Brad, Silver embossing powder, small star punch, Pop-Up Glue Dots to adhere the strip of cs with the large heavy brad (all SU)
Tip-Carefully heat set the Encore Metallic ink with your heat gun or it will smear.
