A card for a Moxie Spotlight challenge

I made over this card, and from the card base up to the ivory layer is all that remains. I wanted to do some paper piecing, paper tole style!!! Kristine Breach, at Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenges, gave me the idea. This card doesn't qualify for SSCC this week, (Easter Theme w/ paper tole), but I'm working on that. The challenges that it does work for are, the Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential #24, and the Moxie Fab World, Picking Up The Pieces Challenge, that Cath threw down. How fun are these?

I LOVE coffee, so I'm hoping to get more than one card made. I also love this stamp set by Rupa Shevde, "my cuppa' joe" for Gina K Designs.

Sweetybellas

This is another card for the SSHP21, Hey Girlfriend!. I have a tough time coloring the Stamping Bella girls, but they are so darned cute! I wanted to go with a different kind of color combo. Pale plum and glorious green, I think it came out alright.

Forever Friends

Hi everyone! I made this card for the Moxie Fab World Challenge-Diggin' on Doilies & Lace. You need to use doilies or lace on your card. I used lace patterned paper, from a stack I've had forever. The card body and pink panels are Pure Luxury card stock in Pink Innocence, from Gina K Designs. This is the best card stock! I used pretty in pink ink from SU, but it doesn't photograph very well. I masked and stamped a tulip and stem three times. This beautiful flower is from "a year of flowers", by Melanie Muenchinger for GKD. I also used "say it with flowers" for my sentiment, by the same artist.

This card also qualifies for the StampTV color challenge given by the new hostess, the fabulous, Tina Gilliland! Pink & White, stvcctg1.

I needed a sketch, so I went over to Card Positioning Systems for the latest, CPS156 challenge.

Last, but not least the Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential. This week it's about friend ship, in "Hey, girlfriend!!!", SSHP21. I have a feeling this is probably only the first I'll make for this challenge.

Confirmation Easel

Today I decided it was time to learn how to make an easel card. It was super easy! I learned from Beate at Split Coast Stampers.

This card also fits for the Our Daily Bread Design Shining the Light Challenge, ODBDSLC4.

This week the challenge team is challenging you to think outside of the box....Create any card or project that is not an A2, A6, or A7 rectangular card. It can be a different fold (diamond fold, joy fold, easel, accordion, step, sidestep etc.) or a different shape.

I also had the Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential challenge in mind while planing this one. The SSHP20 challenge is to "Clean it Up!", whatever your idea of a clean card is. Mine is layers of squares.

This is Shannon's last color challenge at StampTV. Thanks for the great combos, Shannon! For her last challenge, STVCCSB13, she chose metallic.

Here is what I used:

Card Candy #1 Love & Encouragement

This was so much fun to create! It was a bit stressful when I was trying to make a card candy set, "For the Love of a Teen", using Melanie's Little Tee's set. I just couldn't make it work, but I will. Stay tuned for that in the future! Haha I have always wanted to make card candy but never got to it, so thank you Carolina, for the challenge. Here is a tip: make sure your candy doesn't go all the way to the top of your backer/bag. I had a heck of a time getting that topper to stay on! I had a rather large cello bag to start, so I certainly could have folded it over. Live & Learn, right? Here is the link to the StampTV, anything but a card challenge, stvabccb11. make a card or project for someone you love letting them know how much God loves them.

Comfort & Care

I chose to make a get well card for the There's Magic In The Air challenge found here, TMITA. Nina has so generously allowed us to use her digital image, Flight of the Fuschia, this week. This image and many more can be found at Paper Cupcakes! Here are the dets:

Patti J. Gilliam brings us this weeks challenge. She wants you to use this image "Flight of the Fuschia" and Make a "Comforting" card (thinking of you, get well, sympathy, etc.), using Flourishes and/or Pearls As you can see I used both flourishes and a pearl!

The Spotlight Divas would like to challenge you to go the opposite from last week's challenge and think "teeny tiny" when making your creation this week!! ;) Please feel free to interpret this as you see fit!!

Bigger is Better

Don't you just love this Ellie, "Tons of Love" from Nina at Paper Cupcakes!?! You can obviously tell that I do. Nina's images are so adorable.

I wasn't sure what to use for the Saturday Spotlight challenge this week, Bigger is Better. Use something over sized. Then I looked at my little pile of weekly half finished items. Low and behold, the larger Tons of Love image that I had printed out. She was already colored but not cut out. I used a SU envelope template to create the larger size to fit my Ellie. I still had to cut the hearts down. She is colored with Bic Mark It markers. I raised the tag element on foam dots. Pretty simple.

Sunny!

I love how cheerful this card came out. It started with the "Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential" challenge-SSHP15 Let the Sunshine In! use mostly yellow. Then I decided to combine the "Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge"-SSCC23 add just a touch of green. Please be sure to scroll down to read Peggysue's message on 1 Peter 1:23 (NIV) "For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God." The next challenge is found at StampTV's weekly sketch challenge-STVSCJH08.

I flipped the sketch so that you could see more of the glittered flowers. The sentiment panel is sponged with Old Olive and So Saffron ink. I added the vellum corners for a little sparkle on that side.

Snowflakes, snowflakes, everywhere!

I am disappointed with the way this card photographed, "dull", compared with the real thing. This is a sketch from the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #36. It was a bit of a challenge for me this week. I also followed the StampTV color challenge #stvccsb07, monochromatic. The theme of my card comes from the Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential #14 , "snowflakes gone wild". My snowflakes and sentiment circle are heat embossed with clear embossing powder and a bit of blue pearl ex. I love that stuff! There is a bit of sponging on the bashful blue card stock, with bashful blue and brilliant blue inks. The embossed flakes are much more shinny irl. Thanks for viewing my card!

This card started out as a card for the Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential 13, challenge, "Love withOUT Hearts". I was visiting Chris Olsen's blog, Twinkles Glows with Stamps, and she used the Color Throwdown #74 challenge with her SSHP card. The colors are Regal Rose, Chocolate Chip, and Dusty Durango. I liked it so I adopted it for my card too. I had to find a sketch, so I followed the StampTV weekly sketch challenge, STVSCJH06. It just all came together, that's what happens when your not trying to make it happen!

I made this card for my dad's birthday. He doesn't read my blog obviously, that would be like making him sit through dance recitals again. Just not a guy thing, you know. I finally finished a Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential challenge, or so I thought. I was a bit late, the winners have been posted. My card is simple and wouldn't have beat these lovely creations anyway! !*Congratulations Ladies*! My card also qualifies for the StampTV Color Challenge, any Blue and Green.

I'm joining in the fun at Saturday Spotlight With Hidden Potential for the first time this week. The SSHP10 challenge is to use flowers, with Christmas in mind. No special technique on this card except I popped the green layer up with dimensionals. I distressed and inked the white panel on the inside of the card, below.
